After being one of the winners of the national award in 2021, ICU Medical Technologies has won the first prize of the Santander X Global Award program in the Launch category.
The 20 best StartUps from 6 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, United Kingdom and Spain) have participated in the event that took place on February 3rd. The presentation made by the CEO and Founder of the company, the critical care physician Ray Vicente, was made in front of a jury specialized in innovation, entrepreneurship and investment who valued the impact of the proposed solution, the viability of the business model and its scalability.
The first prize includes, not only a financial award of €10,000, but also access to an entrepreneurial training program at a renowned institution. The objective of the program is to prepare KronoSafe® for its market launch.
ICU Medical Technologies is currently in his Seed Investment Round to achieve its goal in 2022: to reach the market with its KronoSafe® medical device. This device will increase the safety and efficacy of Temporary Cardiac Pacing, reducing complications and allowing patients to remain in the hospital ward, without needing to be admitted to the ICU and undergoing early rehabilitation after operations.
